Making music at a glacial pace, but in the company of good friends. The recording process for this record was unconventional, but wholly enjoyable. We couldn't be more pleased with where we ended up. We're excited to share the results.
lyrics
Hand like the warm gun
And our bombs drink the sun still
Hand me another one
So I can smile on a small kill
Bleed into pools on black playgrounds
Singing with small songs
Singing in time along
Design the throne
Design alone
Bleed into pools on black playgrounds
Singing with small songs
Singing in time along

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer

Honestly, i typically recoil at electronic beats, but good lord is "Dead-Eyed God" a haunting, beautiful track! It's just delightful to see one of your favorite musicians expanding their palette with such confidence & taste. And of course there's still plenty of J's masterful & tasty guitar on this EP for those of us who can't get enough. ggoston
